In this community there are so many varieties of blogs, but how do you make sure you’re putting out the best content for your readers? I have begun to reach out to fellow bloggers in the hopes they will share their tips.My first blogger is Marsha, here’s what she had to say:
My blog is about my life with sickle cell and how I deal with it on a daily basis and I’ve been blogging for about 6 months now.
Q2) what tips do you have for making yourself stand out in the blogging world?
I say keep in you’re mind of who your target audience is that you are writing your blog for. Advertise your blog on all social media platforms. And keep it hip and fun.
Q3) what are your top 3 do’s and dont’s for blogging?
My top 3 do’s:
- Be constant
- Keep it real and factual if your talking about real life issues
- Keep it fun be you no one wants to read a boring blog
And my dont’s:
- Don’t make up facts or stories that are not real as your readers will check
- Don’t drift off topic or talk jargon
- Don’t copy other peoples work and class it as your own
Q4) What are your blogging goals?
My goals are to empower other like minded readers or people who are interested in sickle cell. Letting them know that they are not the only ones going through this or to give them more information about it from someone who is actually living it.
